Event operations

How an in-person event brief runs, from event setup and the landing page to registration, QR check-in and follow-up.

Event operations

An event brief produces a hosted partner event with its own public registration page. The client runs it from Events ("Host partner events"). You follow it in the mirror.

The Events page

Events are grouped into Open for registration, Preparing to open and Past · what they produced. Card badges show Draft, Needs setup or Registration closed.

Setup

After Start Event setup, the client confirms the event essentials and presses Generate Event draft. The draft covers:

  • Landing page opener, Why attend, On the night and speaker introductions.
  • Registration and check-in copy.
  • Venue, audience and closing copy.

Each section has an Improve action. Generation only creates a draft; nothing goes live until it is approved. Approve & open registration publishes the registration page ("Approved and opened for registration.").

The event workspace

The overview, "Set up your event", has four tiles:

  • Event framework: run sheet and guest list.
  • Landing page: the public registration page at /events/{slug}.
  • QR code: on-site attendance check-in.
  • LinkedIn posts.

Registrations lists sign-ups. People who check in without registering show as walk-ins (unattributed). In the mirror, Landing page previews the registration page.

Measuring

Registrations count toward the brief's target outcome (40 by default). Check-ins record attendance.

The launch deadline for an event is the event date. Unapproved required assets close to the date show on Momentum as "Launch at risk".
