Publishing and versioning
Publishing to clients
What happens when you publish a pack, and the choices in the publish modal.
Publishing to clients
Publishing is how a pack goes from your review to the client's portal. Until you publish, the client sees nothing. This applies to every Align pack: Sam, Alex and Riley.
Where to publish from
You can publish two ways:
- From the agent workspace, using Publish to client.
- From the client detail Packs tab, which also holds the version history and publish controls.
The publish modal
The publish modal confirms a few things before you commit:
- The failed-page count, so you do not accidentally publish a pack with broken pages.
- The quality scores for the pack.
- Whether to email the client contacts to let them know the pack is ready.
Read these, decide whether to email, then confirm.
What the client sees
Publishing makes the pack visible in the client's portal Deliverables list. Each pack opens in a new tab as an interactive, client-branded workspace. Items unlock in that list only once you have reviewed and published them.
Do not publish over a failed-page count you are not comfortable with. The modal tells you the count, but it will not stop you. Regenerate first if you need to.
