Setting up Activate
The Strategy baseline
What the captured Strategy baseline holds, why it never re-syncs with Riley, and how currency works.
The Strategy baseline
The Strategy baseline (the Strategy Anchor in the wizard) is the fixed record Activate measures against. Briefs are checked against it, gap progress is calculated from it, and partner categories come from it.
What it holds
- The partner revenue target, the revenue already recognised at capture, the remaining gap and the Year-1 target period.
- The 24-month horizon and plan year.
- Year-1 channel mix and partner type mix.
- The planned partner pool.
- Roadmap workstreams and Where to Play segments.
- Conversion assumptions and the revenue per activation used to value the pipeline.
- The market and product context from wizard step 5.
- The reporting currency.
Where to see it
In the mirror, open Strategy & setup > Partnership strategy (or use View Strategy baseline on the completion screen). The page shows Baseline captured with the capture date, then three sections:
- At a glance: partner revenue target, gap remaining, and partner-sourced share at capture.
- What the teams use: segments and workstreams.
- The finance model: a collapsible section with the targets and assumptions.
The client sees the same page, read-only.
It is captured once
The baseline is captured once, through onboarding, and cannot be replaced. Republishing Riley does not change it. There is no re-sync button.
Currency
The baseline uses the Riley reporting currency. The client's Finance settings hold a separate company currency. If the two differ:
- Every Activate workflow keeps working.
- Monetary projections and comparisons are paused, and an advisory explains the mismatch.
Clear it by aligning the Finance company currency with the baseline. See Troubleshooting Activate.
