Running Activate

Partner metrics and the dormant rule

Where partner numbers come from, how freshness is shown, and how a partner is classed as dormant.

Partner metrics and the dormant rule

Partner performance in Activate is read from PartnerStack. It cannot be edited by staff or clients.

What is measured per partner

MetricSource
Leads and TrialsEach partner-referred PartnerStack customer
ActivationsThat customer's first approved transaction
RevenuePartnerStack transactions (attributed revenue)

The Partners page shows these for a chosen metric period. The default is the latest complete month with data. Completed months are served from their month-end or last daily snapshot. Momentum's "The outcome loop · by partner" table shows the same four columns, plus an Unattributed row for outcomes not tied to a partner.

Freshness

If the last successful sync is more than 14 days old, the Partners page shows "Partner data is stale". If only part of the data arrived, it shows "Partner data is partial". Check the Integration access card on the Products tab first. See Troubleshooting Activate.

The dormant rule

A current, active partner is dormant when it has had no lead, trial, activation or revenue event for 90 days or more, or has never had one. Otherwise it is active.

  • Only outcome events count. Other activity does not reset the clock.
  • Dormancy is information only. It never changes a partner's status or whether briefs can use them.
  • It is not shown on the client's Partners page. It is reported through the HockeyStick connector and Slack (covered in their own articles).

Verdicts are separate

The Boost, Hold, Fix, Pause and Drop verdicts come from the Monthly Review, not from the dormant rule. A dormant partner can still receive any verdict. See The Monthly Review.
