Setting up Activate
Connect Zoom
What Zoom authorisation enables for webinar briefs, how it is verified, and how to recheck it.
Connect Zoom
Zoom powers webinar briefs. With the client's Zoom account authorised, Activate can create the Zoom webinar from an approved setup, read registrants, and record attendance from Zoom.
Authorising
The client's integration contact uses the setup link, or Strategy & setup > Integrations in the portal, and presses Connect with Zoom. They sign in with the account that owns their webinars and approve HockeyStick access. They can then press Verify authorization.
If the grant later stops working, the panel offers Reauthorize with Zoom. You can prompt this from the Products tab with Request reauthorization.
The two Zoom readiness checks
| Check | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Zoom account authorization verified | The stored grant has been checked against Zoom. |
| Zoom webinar capability proven | Zoom has confirmed the account can run webinars. |
On the Pre-flight readiness card, Re-run checks queues a fresh check of the Zoom grant and, where a webinar exists, a read-back of it. It never creates a webinar. The card waits up to about 30 seconds for new evidence, then leaves the checks running in the background.
What Zoom does during a webinar brief
- Create Zoom webinar is a separate, confirmed step on the webinar page. Nothing is sent to Zoom until the client confirms, and repeat clicks never create duplicates.
- Registrations show both HockeyStick-hosted and Zoom totals, with Refresh from Zoom.
- Attendance · from Zoom records who attended.
